The Friends of Emerald Coast State Parks is giving away to one lucky couple a FREE wedding package hosted at the Emerald Coast’s gorgeous Henderson Beach State Park in Destin, Florida. The Friends of Emerald Coast State Parks is a non-profit 501(C)3 Citizen Support Organization that works to preserve and protect our park’s natural, cultural resources, and to provide recreational opportunities to area visitors and residents.

Essential employees from Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, or Walton counties who have worked during the COVID-19 epidemic can enter to win a wedding ceremony package for up to 50 people – valid for use in 2021. To enter, just fill out the online form below and explain why the committee, comprised of local business and community leaders, should choose YOU to win in 500 words or less.

All entries must be submitted by 7/31/2020. • This wedding package is for a beach ceremony only, valid any day of the week, based on availability.
• Ceremony must be completed prior to sunset (when the park closes).
• Guests must adhere to all of the state park’s rules and regulations.
• There is a 50 person maximum, this includes the winning couple and the wedding party. If you do end up with more than 50 people, additional charges may apply.
• This wedding package must be redeemed during the fiscal year from 1/1/2021 – 12/31/2021 (pending availability, exceptions are made on a case by case basis).
• Any photos or videos from this event can be used for promotional purposes (via website, social media, etc.) by the event sponsors, The Friends of Emerald Coast State Parks, and Henderson Beach State Park. Winners also agree to allow The Friends of Emerald Coast State Parks, Henderson Beach State Park, and all event sponsors to use your story (this includes your name, likeness, address (city and state only), photograph, video, voice, etc.) on media platforms for promotional purposes.
• If you decide to hire additional vendors, the committee must be notified in advance to ensure that the vendor meets all of the requirements.
• One of the applicants must be able to provide proof of residency in either Okaloosa County, Santa Rosa County, or Walton County. This can include a driver’s license, utility bill, property tax records, etc.
• One of the applicants must be considered an essential employee during the COVID-19 outbreak. This means one of the applicants must have been employed either full time or part time between March 1, 2020 to present. Essential employees include first responders, healthcare workers, workers conducting COVID-19 research and testing, workers who provide security services, those in the transportation industry, teachers, postal workers, food and agriculture workers (this includes those who have been working in grocery stores and restaurants), energy sector employees (gas stations, utility companies, etc.), bank employees, etc. If you’re still unsure if this applies to you, please email inquiries@fecsp.org. This applicant must also be able to provide proof of employment during this time and provide their employer’s information for verification.
• The Friends of Emerald Coast State Parks, Henderson Beach State Park, and all participating sponsors are not responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversons, substitutions, or any act or omission of any third person with respect to this event due to any unforeseen circumstances which include, but are not limited to, weather, natural disaster, etc.
• Both applicants must be at least 18 years old.
